the treehouses at lanrick
From concept to completion
On behalf of our client we undertook the Design and Build of 5 bespoke premium treehouses on The Lanrick Estate, close to Doune and Stirling. We took the initial idea to create alternative, self catering properties and prepared all the sketch and architectural plans and took the project through the design and planning stages working with Stirling Council.
In January 2020 we started the construction of the 5 units along the banks of the River Teith and completed the project by the end of October 2020. The owners now have a successful short term holiday rental business, for more information please visit https://www.lanricktreehouses.co.uk/.
While the structure and shape is similar, each treehouse is bespoke and with variations on the internal finishes makes a welcoming change form the usual homogenised development. The timber structures were created using the surrounding woodland from the Estate. The natural and sustainable materials visually blend into the natural setting and will allow people to enjoy the peace and tranquility in a sustainable low-energy setting which increases the variety, quality and choice in tourism accommodation at Lanrick and within the wider area.
The five self-catering treehouses all designed and styled by our in house team create an exceptional and distinctive unique holiday hideaways. These luxury retreats include log burning stoves, a tree top terrace and outside baths.
